Thomas Hamm

June 17, 1932 – Jan. 17, 2006

Thomas Hamm, 73, of Wilkinson, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Regency Place Nursing Home in Greenfield.

He was born June 17, 1932, in Ohio, a son of the late Rodney and Josephine (Cox) Hamm.

Mr. Hamm was served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended New Castle Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and was active in Citizens Band radio.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Bailey) Hamm of Wilkinson; a son, Darrell Hamm of Wilkinson; three sisters, Sue (husband, Paul) Smith of New Castle; Betty Hamm of Anderson; Sara (husband, Delbert) Saxon of Rushville; five brothers, Done (wife, Diane) Hamm of Alexandria, Bud (wife, Beverly) Hamm of Wilkinson, John (wife, Sue) Hamm of Carmel, Jim (wife, Becky) Umphry of North Vernon, and Jerry (wife, Ruth) May of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ballenger of New Castle, in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
