Ronald Dean Craft

March 10, 1942 – Jan. 16, 2006

Ronald “Ronnie” Dean Craft, 63, of New Castle, died Monday, Jan. 16, at his home.

He was born March 10, 1942, in New Castle, a son of the late Julius and Isabell (Solomon) Craft.

Mr. Craft retired from Chrysler in New Castle after 30 years of service. He was a member of Local UAW 371. Mr. Craft was a renowned fisherman and avid outdoors and sports lover. He also enjoyed classic cars.

Survivors include his former spouse, Joyce Craft; two daughters, Joy (husband, Lewis) Goff, and Ronda Craft (Tony Cooper); two sons, Ronald (wife, Rhonda Sue) Craft II, and Chris (wife, Jennifer) Craft; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert (wife, Clara) Craft and Gene Craft.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Bill Craft.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. John L. Fonzer, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
