Robert McFarland

Oct. 6, 1937 – Jan. 13, 2006

Robert McFarland, 68, of Knightstown, died Friday, Jan. 13, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Jefferson County, a son of the late Niley and Inez (Bray) McFarland.

Mr. McFarland was self-employed in the timber purchasing business for over 45 years. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Tina (husband, Danny) Dunn of Middletown; two grandchildren, Eli Ratliff and Gage Dunn; one brother, Jess McFarland of Connersville; and a sister, Mary McFarland of Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma (Grooms) McFarland; four brothers, Roscoe, Jack, Harold and John L. McFarland; and four sisters, Pauline McKay, Grace Carpenter, Ruth McFarland and Daisy McFarland.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m Thursday, Jan. 19, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is from noon until time of service on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home.
