Ralph Lee Miller

March 6, 1930 – Jan. 2, 2006

Ralph Lee Miller, 75, of Rushville, died Jan. 2 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born March 6, 1930, in Walker Township, Rush County, a son of the late Virgil and Mary (Wise) Miller.

Mr. Miller married Joyce Myer on Jan. 29, 1955 and she survives. He was a 1949 Manilla High School graduate, who later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Miller was a retired dairy farmer and a past director of the Indiana Holstein Friesian Association. He was also a past president of the Rush County DHIA Association. Mr. Miller’s other memberships included the Dairy Shrine Club, Eagles Lodge 2036 and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jemmy Lee (wife, Teresa) Miller of Rushville, and Rodger Lee (wife, Melanie) Miller of Shelbyville; three brothers, Richard Miller of Marshall, Paul David Miller of San Antonio, Tx., and John Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Joan (husband, Weldon) Gard of Yuba City, Cal., Janetta (husband, Darrell) Ramsey of Spencer, Ohio, Wilma Jean Socha of Charleston, W.V., and Betty Joyce Blosser of Spencer, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Charles Justice officiating. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home. Burial took place in Hanover Cemetery in Morristown.
