Laura K. Small
April 25, 1918 – Dec. 28, 2005
Laura K. Small, 87, of Anderson, formerly of Raleigh, died Wednesday, Dec. 28.
She was born April 25, 1918, in Syracuse, N.Y., a daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Kajewski) Kozikowski. She married Merrill E. Small on Feb. 6, 1937 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1992.
Mrs. Small graduated from East Syracuse High School (N.Y.) and was a past Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star group #463. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa sorority and Center Christian Church. Mrs. Small worked for many years at Rushville National Bank in the credit department.
Survivors include a son, Richard (wife, Linda) Small of Anderson; one sister, Helen Szlyamzinski of Syracuse, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Aside from her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James; one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Center Christian Church with Rev. Bill Worrell officiating. Burial followed at Center Church Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church. Todd Funeral Home handled arrangements.
