Dorothy Mae Snodgress
May 4, 1913 – Nov. 27, 2003
Dorothy Mae (Bailey) Snodgress, 90, a lifelong resident of the Kennard Community, died Thursday, November 27 at Heritage House of New Castle following an extended illness. She was born May 4, 1913 near Kennard, a daughter of the late Aulbert and Hattie (Collins) Bailey.
Mrs. Snodgress was a member of the Kennard Friends Church and the Household Circle of the church.
Survivors include one son, Phillip (wife Nancy) Snodgress of Greensburg; three daughters, Norma (husband John) Beavers of Kennard, Judy (husband Jim) Thurman of New Castle, and Myrna (husband Doug) Reeves of Knightstown; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard Snodgress on August 28, 1991; three brothers, Kenneth Bailey in infancy, Maurice Bailey in 1985, and Hubert Bailey; two stepbrothers, Russell and Joe Cook.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 1 in the Kennard Friends Church with Pastor Lou Herchenroeder and Joe Beavers officiating. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
Visitation was held at the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson Sunday, November 30.
