Betty J. Sullivan
June 29, 1925 – Nov. 20, 2003
Betty J. Sullivan, 78, of Arlington died Thursday, November 20 in Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. She was born June 29, 1925 in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of the late John and Fern (Greer) Revolt.
Mrs. Sullivan had lived in the Carthage-Arlington area for the last 58 years. She was graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1943. During the 1960s, she was a cook at the Carthage School cafeteria. During the 1970s and 1980s, Betty had worked as a teller and bookkeeper at the Carthage Bank. She was a member of the East Street Christian Church in Carthage and the Mixer Homemaker Club in Carthage.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard C. Sullivan, Jr. of Arlington; one son, Robert J. (wife Cheryl) Sullivan of Arlington; one daughter, Linda (husband Bryan) McMahan of Carthage; one brother, Donald Revolt of Cumberland; one sister, Mary Stahl of Arizona; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Services were held Saturday, November 22 at Fletcher United Methodist church with Rev. Roger Campbell and Pastor Bruce Banister officiating. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
Visitation was held at the Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville on Friday, November 21.
