Danny LeRoy Day
Oct. 29, 1942 – Sept. 8, 2003
Danny LeRoy Day, 60, of Cambridge City, died Monday, September 8 at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond after an extended illness. He was born in Mt. Auburn October 29, 1942, a son of the late Jerry Herbert and Hazel Ailiene (Wadman) Day.
Mr. Day, a lifetime resident of Cambridge City, attended Carthage and Cambridge City Schools. He was a member of the American Legion #169 of Cambridge City and the 40 & 8 of Connersville. He was retired from the town of Cambridge City where he worked for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Christal Hellard Day. They were married November 22, 1962 in Logansport; two daughters, Amy Day of Richmond, and Danita (husband Paul) Northern of Mount Vernon, Ky.; a son, Jimmy Day of Cambridge City; one brother, Jerry Raymond Day of Knightstown; one sister, Linda Jones of Cambridge City; nieces and nephews; and an uncle, Donny Day of Michigan.
His father preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1976 and his mother on October 24, 1990.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, September 10) at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
