Ronald K. Blake

July 5, 1952 – Aug. 15, 2003

Ronnie K. “Red” Blake, 51, of Lewisville, died Friday, August 15 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, following a brief illness. He was born July 5, 1952 in New Castle, a son of Walter and Thelma Kidd Blake.

Ronnie lived in the Lewisville area most of his life before moving to Indianapolis 10 years ago. He graduated from Tri High School with the class of 1971, graduated from Ivy Tech State College in Richmond with a degree in Electronics, and worked as a sales engineer. He also enjoyed woodworking and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his mother, Thelma Blake of Lewisville; three brothers, Ottis (wife Diane) Blake of Lewisville; Robert (wife Janice) Blake of Lewisville; and Robin Blake of Lewisville; four sisters, Mary Ann Orr of New Castle, Anna (husband Joe) Higgins of New Castle; Carol Blake (friend Dick Bowery) of Richmond, and Susie (husband Michael) Downey of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Blake on September 24, 1990; five brothers, John Ray Blake on June 28, 1979, Freddie Blake, Charles Wallace Blake on Nov. 28, 1984, Gene Blake in 2000 and Carlos Blake in May 2001; and infant sister Janie Blake.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today, (Wednesday, August 20) at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, Lewisville with Rev. Marion Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Lewisville Cemetery.

Visitation was held Tuesday, August 19 and before services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
