Joan Webb
Sept. 12, 1928 - June 17, 2003
Joan (Daggy) Webb, 74, of Anderson, died Tuesday, June 17 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Mary's, Ohio, after an extended illness. She was born September 12, 1928 in Castle, a daughter of the late George and Louise (Linn) Daggy.
In 1946, Mrs. Webb graduated from Knightstown High School. She had lived in Anderson since 1956. Joan had worked for Anderson Community Schools, Sears, Carmack Auto and in 2002, she retired from H & R Block after 18 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane (husband Michael) Laird, of St. Mary's, Ohio and Deborah Huyvaert of South Bend; four grandchildren, Robyn Laird and Anna Laird, both of St. Mary's, Ohio, and Lauren Huyvaert and Tyler Huyvaert, both of South Bend; one sister, Nancy (husband Robert) Kuester of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews including Jennifer (husband Jerry) Tumilty of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Webb in December 1996; one brother, Robert Daggy; and an aunt, Ruth Ray.
Services were held Saturday, June 21at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. James Storey officiating. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was at the funeral home Friday, June 20. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or the American Cancer Society.
