William E. Wasson

May 1, 1959 - May 17, 2003

William E. "Bill" Wasson, 44, of rural Middletown, died Saturday, May 17 at his home. He was born May 1, 1959 in New Castle, a son of Larry M. and Gail R. (Arthur) Wasson of New Castle.

Mr. Wasson was a lifelong resident of Henry County and a 1978 graduate of Knightstown High School. He had worked the past 20 years with the Indiana State Highway Dept. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors besides his parents include his wife, the former Vicki Horton; two daughters, Brittany and Carley Wasson, both of New Castle; one son, Alex Von Wasson of rural Middletown; two stepdaughters, Erica and Carissa Hooten, both of rural Middletown; one grandson, Mick David of New Castle; maternal grandmother, Ethel Arthur of New Castle; a sister, Jody Carole Wasson of Lewisville; a brother, Von (wife Emily) Wasson of New Castle; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Elza Arthur.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, May 23) at Macer-Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial will be in Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, May 20 at the funeral home.
