Harriett L. Jessup

Dec. 17, 1921 - May 7, 2003

Harriett L. Jessup, 81, a resident of Charlottesville, died Wednesday, May 7 in Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. She was born December 17, 1921 in Spiceland, a daughter of the late Russell and Eva (Murphy) Reece.

Mrs. Jessup was a homemaker and had worked at Eli Lilly in Greenfield. She was a member of the Charlottesville Friends Church and the Charlottesville Bunco Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Dianna (husband Steve) Lewis of Greenfield, and Linda (husband Rich) Bass of St. Peters, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph "Gene" Ramsay of Kendallville; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Russell Jessup in 1976; one son, Gary Jessup; two sisters, Helen Sharp and Lenora Kline; and stepfather, Ralph E. Ramsay, Sr.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 12 in the Condo & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Powers officiating. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 11. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
