Helen Rushton

D. Helen Rushton, 91, a resident of Greenfield, died Saturday, May 3 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. She was born August 24, 1911 in Delaware County, a daughter of the late George O. and Bertha A. (Fosnot) Scott.
Mrs. Rushton was a homemaker and a member of the Farm Bureau Township and County Woman's Leader, Wilkinson Brotherhood and Sisterhood (past president, secretary and treasurer), Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and Brown Township DES-AMI Home Economics Club. She was also very active in the Indiana State Fair Home and Family Arts exhibits.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Leroy (wife Carolyn) Rushton of Glenwood; four daughters, Wilma Agnes (husband Max) Kennedy of Wilkinson, Dorothy Pauline (husband Richard) Jones of Indianapolis, Kathleen Faye (husband Howard) Willis of Sulphur Springs and Mary Alice (husband Darl) Collins of Markleville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Robinette of Anderson and Hilda Sutton of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovie Earl Rushton on March 28, 2002; a brother, Rex C. Scott, on April 17, 1980; and one great-grandson, Jacob Paul Stull.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8 in the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, with Jim Harless and William Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson from 2-8 p.m. today (Wednesday). Memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
