Helen V. Walker

Helen V. Walker, 87, of Greenfield died Sunday, April 27 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.

She was born October 21, 1915 in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Danial and Mae (Martindale) Bowman. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and former owner of Walker's Grocery in Knightstown and Gwenville.

Survivors include two sons, Philip L. Walker of Charlottesville, and Steven H. Walker of New Paris, Ohio; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, James Bowman of Cleveland.

Her husband, Hugh C. Walker, preceded her in death in 1999.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 at the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call Thursday, May 1 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
