Mary L. Pennington

May 14, 1919 - Apr. 16, 2003

Mary L. Pennington, 83, died Wednesday, April 16 at Rush Memorial Hospital. She was born May 14, 1919 in Knightstown, a daughter of Jesse and Margaret (Boren) White.

Mrs. Pennington was a 1937 graduate of Knightstown High School and a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority of Knightstown. She was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Hopkins Furniture Store in Knightstown for many years.

On April 2, 1941, she was married to Fredrick H. Pennington who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Fred (wife Anna Karen) Pennington of Rushville; one daughter, Susan (husband Richard) Mummert of Knightstown; one brother, Harry (wife Sue) White of Knightstown; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services were held Saturday, April 19 at the Todd Funeral Home, Knightstown, with Pastor Roger Campbell officiating. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, April 18 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ogden Methodist Church.
