James F. Buckley

May 17, 1929 - Apr. 18, 2003

James F. Buckley of Knightstown died Friday, April 18 in Regency Place, Greenfield. He was born May 17, 1929 in Fleming Co., Ky., a son of the late Arthur W. and Lyda (Marshall) Buckley.

Mr. Buckley was a mechanic for 40 years at Ralph Hockett and Dellen Automotive, Greenfield. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952 and was stationed in Europe. He was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Knightstown. His hobbies were woodworking and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Wilson) Buckley whom he married August 23, 1952; one son, James Alan (Christine) Buckley of Wanamaker; one daughter, Christine (husband Daniel) Clevenger of Knightstown; three brothers, Clyde Buckley and Kenneth Buckley, both of Knightstown, and Wendell Buckley of Pendleton; one sister, Mildred Finch of Sun City, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Brad Allen (wife Lori) Clevenger of Indianapolis, Manda Jo Clevenger of Carmel, and Jared Ryan (wife Stacy) Buckley of Greenfield.

His parents and one brother, Harlan Buckley, preceded him in death.

Services were held Monday, April 21 at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown with graveside military rites by Knightstown American Legion Post 152. Visitation was held Sunday, April 20 at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
