Frederic W. Brooks Sr.

Nov. 12, 1925 - Apr. 15, 2003

Frederic W. Brooks  Sr., 77, formally of Greenfield, died Tuesday, April 15 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. He was born November 12, 1925, a son of the late Clarence M. and Myra Amazeen Brooks.

Mr. Brooks graduated from Dow Academy in Franconia, N.H. in 1942. He married Martha Symons on  June 13, 1957 and she survives. He was an U.S. Army veteran serving with the 10th Mountain Division Ski Troops in Italy during World War II. He was a member of Knightstown Masonic Lodge and the Knightstown American Legion. He was retired from Civil Service.

Survivors include his wife Martha Brooks of Knightstown; one son, Frederic (wife Sherry) W. Brooks of Ft. Wayne; one daughter, Katherine (husband Michael) Bolyard of Lafayette; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, six brothers and one sister.

The family has requested private cremation service. Todd Funeral Home Butcher Chapel in Knightstown is handling arrangements.
