Mary Kate Ashby

May 25, 1952 - Apr. 15, 2003

Mary Kate Ashby, 50, a resident of Shirley, died Tuesday, April 15 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1952 in Indianapolis, a daughter of Joseph H. and Eda (Hoeltke) Parker.

Mrs. Ashby was a homemaker and had worked at IPT.

Surviving are three daughters, Gena Ashby of Shirley, Melissa (husband Joe) Day of Carthage, and Annie (husband Marty) Day of Carthage; her mother, Eda Parker of Shirley; six grandchildren, Hannah, Parker, Ben, Joey, Korby and Kasey; one brother, Bob Parker of Indianapolis; five sisters, Jennie Gober of Texas, Sharon Fort of Knightstown, Margie Ford of Shirley, Linda Miller of Indianapolis, and Elaine Ziffrin of Fishers; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Doyle Ashby in 2000; father, Joseph Parker in 1972; two brothers, Joe and Bruce Parker; and two sisters, Anna Muesing and Judy Parker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18 in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Jon Day officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 18.
