Lottie B. Dyer

July 13, 1925 - Mar. 14, 2003

Lottie B. (Logan) Dyer, 77, of Knightstown, died Friday, March 14 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, following a brief illness. She was born June 13, 1925 in Lewis County, Ky., a daughter of the late Mack and Myrtle (Howard) Butler.

A homemaker, Mrs. Dyer attended the Early Methodist Church in Carthage. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening.

Survivors include eight children: Judy, (husband Oscar) Kline of Knightstown, Janet (husband Harold) Butler of Knightstown, Dean (wife Nickie) Logan of Carthage, Michael (wife Donna) Logan of Wilkinson, Debbie (husband Randy) Harless of Pendleton, Delores (husband Brad) Hawn of Hobe Sound, Fla., Bessie (husband Donald) Smith of Columbia City, and Ronnie (wife Lon) Logan of Carthage; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Raymond (wife Rose) Butler of Lewis County, Ky., and Charles (wife Angie) Butler of Dublin; four sisters: Christine (husband Orville) Dyer of Lewis County, Ky., Julie (husband Clayton) Logan of Knightstown, Edith (husband Rodney) Rittenhour of Osceola, Ohio, and Helen (husband Ray) Richmond of Lewis County, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herman Logan; her second husband, Randall Dyer; a daughter, Jean Rayburn; an infant son, Arnold Lacy; and a sister, Kathyleen Faulkner.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 29) at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Rev. Chris King officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 18 at the funeral home.
