Robert S. Shores

Dec. 22, 1950 - Mar. 10, 2003

Robert "Bob" S. Shores, 52, a resident of rural Greenfield, died Monday, March 10 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 22, 1950 in Anderson, a son of Benjamin C. and Fern "Betty" (Titus) Shores.

Mr. Shores was an employee of IMI and was a farmer. He was a member and past master of Eden Masonic Lodge #477, member of the Greenfield York Rite and the International Union of Operating Engineers. He helped found and was a member of the Green Township Volunteer Fire Department. Bob collected and restored antique farm equipment and was an avid horseman and handler of two-mule team hitch.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Geanell (Masters) Shores of Greenfield; one son, Benjamin Shores of Greenfield; one daughter, Kandalee Shores of Greenfield; his mother, Fern "Betty" Shores of Greenfield; one grandson, Garrett Shores of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.

His father, Benjamin Shores, preceded him in death in 1968.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13 in Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Paul Enyart officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 12). A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
