Betty Mae Beeler
July 25, 1929 - Feb. 8, 2003
Betty Mae Beeler of Rushville, died Saturday, February 8 at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville. She was born July 25, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jess and Margie (Fightmaster) Hammons.
Mrs. Beeler lived most of her life in Rushville. She married Robert L. Beeler, Sr. on March 6, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1990.
She was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Rushville. She had been employed by the International Furniture Co. in Rushville during the 1950s and 1960s. During the 1980s, she worked at Millers Merry Manor.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (wife Susan) Beeler of Rushville, and Robert L. (wife Henri) Beeler of Knightstown; one brother, Edward Hammons of New Jersey; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Besides her parents, one brother, Williams Hammons, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11 at Moster & Cox Mortuary with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial was in East Hill Cemetery at Rushville. Visitation was held Monday, February 10 at the funeral home.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the Trinity United Presbyterian Church and/or the Rushville Public Library.
