Pauline Edith Lacy

Pauline Edith Lacy, 87, of Knightstown, died Monday, January 27 at Regency Place in Greenfield. She was born April 27, 1915 in Carlton County, Minnesota, a daughter of Swedish immigrants, Herman and Signe (Nelson) Carlson.

A longtime Henry County resident, she was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Knightstown. She retired from Modernfold, formerly New Castle Products, in 1985, after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Raleigh Community Dance Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Colleen M. (husband LeRoy) Rich of Lewisville, Rita (husband Larry) Haler of New Castle, and Karen (husband Larry) Bennett of Knightstown; 10 grandchildren, Don Froderman, David M. Froderman, Charles D. Roberson, Larry K. Haler, Teena Seibel, Eric Haler, Jeffrey Tod Haler, Mark Alan Haler, Michele Lea Bowling and Jennifer Sue Ramey; 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Roland, Vera Davis and Millie Nelson; a brother, Lynn Carlson; and several cousins in Sweden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lacy in 1977; a son, Donald Paul Lacy; two brothers, Philip Carlson Hisgrove, Jr. and Carl Carlson; and five sisters, Gertrude Hamilton, Helen Bannister, Nannie Wright, Erma Smith and Anna Carlson.

Services were held Friday, January 31 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Rev. Eric Haler officiating. Burial was in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation was held Thursday, January 30 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Regency Place in Greenfield or to the Alzheimer's Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
