Alice Marie Heim

May 6, 1924 – June 21, 2001

Alice Marie McNabb Heim, 77, died Thursday, June 21 at her residence in Bloomington. She was born May 6, 1924 in Potosi, Mo., the daughter of the late Jesse and Helen (Sparks) Essmyer. She was a homemaker and served as an Army nurse during World War II.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa B. Starry of Bloomington; one son, Richard C. McNabb II of Sandwich, MA, and four grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Heim in 1974 and a son David W. McNabb in 1999.

Private family services were held Tuesday, June 26 at Allen Funeral Home with Father Don Davison officiating. Visitation was on Monday, June 25 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or to Hospice of Bloomington.
