Gladys Marie Schaeffer

Aug. 12, 1916 – June 10, 2001

Gladys Marie Schaeffer, 84, of Knightstown, died Sunday, June 10 at Regency Place in Greenfield, after an extended illness.

She was born in Liberty on August 12, 1916, a daughter of Henry and Mary Lambert Langley. Gladys lived most of her life in the Knightstown area. Gladys was married to Cloyd “Big” Schaeffer Dec. 6, 1933 in Henry County and he died Nov. 27, 1957.

Survivors include four grandchildren: Johnna Perkins of Knightstown, Beth Ann (husband Donny) Gossett of West Virginia, Steve A. (wife Roxanna) Zimmerman of New Castle, Billy Zimmerman of Knightstown; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Herschel Langley of Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death was one daughter, one son, one brother and four sisters.

Services will be held Thursday, June 14 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville with burial in Glen Cove Cemetery at Knightstown.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
