Rose Marie Finch

Sept. 28, 1927 – May 31, 2001

Rose Marie Finch, 73, of New Castle and a former Carthage area resident, died Thursday, May 31, at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.

She was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Morristown, a daughter of the late James and Vera (Aker) Ramsey. She had been a nursing assistant at both Regency Place in Greenfield and the Morristown Manor prior to her retirement.

Survivors include two sons, George Finch, Goshen, and Jeff Finch of Shirley; six daughters, Janice Pearson, Paulding, OH, Judy (husband James) Moore, Carthage, Becky Cooper, Niles, MI, Joyce Finch, Lima, OH, Kathy Finch, Paulding, OH, and Julie Finch, Jackson, MI; one brother, George Ramsey, Kingsland; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her husband, Willie O. Finch on July 29, 1987, a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 4 at 1 p.m. at the Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel in Knightstown with Rev. David Bonne officiating. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery at Morristown.

Visitation was Sunday, June 3 at the funeral home.
