Donald Lee Lacy
Oct. 11, 1942 – Apr. 11, 2001
A nephew of area residents, Donald Lee Lacy, 58, died April 11 at his residence in Palm Bay, Fla. He was born Oct. 11, 1942 in Terre Haute and was the son of the late Charles and Gladys (Reed) Lacy.
He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1960, Purdue University in 1964 with a B.S.E.E. and the University of Florida in 1970 – Juris Doctor. He later was admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Florida and the United States. He was a member of Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering Honorary) and Tau Beta Pi (All Engineering Honorary). He practiced law in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and, most recently, in Palm Bay.
Survivors include his sister Gail (husband, Homer) Trammell of Greentown, aunts and uncles, Betty Newkirk of Dunreith, Ruth and Bob Pickering of Kirklin, Beverly McDonald of Knightstown, Geraldine and Arthur Perry of Palm Bay, FL, Dorothy and Charles Lingerfelt of Stonyford, CA, Audrey and Russell McDonald of Riverside, CA, and several cousins.
Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday, May 26 at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown, with Rev. Kenton Smith officiating. The Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes or the American Diabetes Association.
