Patricia A. Ray, 73, of Carthage, died Tuesday, April 10 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born December 18, 1927, in Shirley, a daughter of the late Glen and Letha (Hedrick) Jordan.
She was a homemaker and formerly attended the Calvary Baptist Church of New Castle.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Eldon Ray; six daughters, Penny Jones of Carthage, Francie Jasper of New Castle, Nancy (husband, Bill) Vickery, New Castle, Sherry (husband, Roger) Jones of Shirley, Letha Ray of Carthage, Vanessa (husband, Ronnie) Peavie of New Castle; one son, Kenneth “Bud” (wife, Mary) Ray of New Castle; a sister, Sue Ray of Carthage; five brothers, Billy Jordan of Shirley, Glen Jordan of Wilkinson, Robert Jordan of Shirley, Jimmy Jordan of Knightstown and Charlie Jordan of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Services were held at Friday, April 13 at the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial was in the Carthage Town Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, April 12 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
