Edward S. Huff

Aug. 1, 1928 – Apr. 5, 2001

Edward S. Huff, 72, of Indianapolis and formerly of Wilkinson and Brooksville, Fla., died unexpectedly Thursday, April 5 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.

He was born August 1, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Finley and Mary Belle (Landrum) Huff. He retired from Delco Products of Dayton, in 1978 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Kettering Ohio Baseball Umpire Association, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Brooksville, Fla., and was an avid softball player.

Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Toth of Wilkinson, Martha Fryman of Huber Heights, Ohio, Hannah Taulbee of Shirley, and Kathy Earnst of Verona, Ohio; one son, Steven Huff of Fairmont; one sister, Dottie Baver of Brooksville, Fla.; two brothers, Bill of Trotwood, Ohio, and George of Holly Hills, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

His wife, Anna Mae in 1993, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

A funeral mass was held Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Knightstown followed by burial in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation was from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
