John Thomas Revolt, Jr.

Mar. 6, 1927 – Feb. 27, 2001

John Thomas Revolt, Jr., 73, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, February 27 at Hillside Haven Healthcare in Rushville.

He was born March 6, 1927 in Morris, Ill., a son of the late John T. Revolt, Sr., and Fern (Greer) Revolt.

Mr. Revolt had been a Carthage resident from 1933 until he moved to Indianapolis in 1964. He resided there until 1980 when he moved to Greenfield. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 2 and retired from Kroger Dairy in Indianapolis after 30 years of services. He was a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church in Carthage.

Survivors include one brother, Donald Revolt of Greenfield; two sisters, Betty Sullivan of Arlington, Mar Stahl of Phoenix; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Roger Campbell officiating. Visitation is Thursday, march 1 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown American Legion Post 152 will conduct military graveside rites.
