Betty J. Vanausdall

Nov. 12, 1925 – Feb. 7, 2001

Betty J. Vanausdall, 75, a Shirley resident, died Wednesday, February 7 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.

She was born Nov. 12, 1925 in Wilkinson, a daughter of the late Willis “Shorty” and Bessie (Stanley) Whisler.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Wilkinson Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Jan (wife, Diana) Relford of Fremont, MI, Mark (wife, Joanne) Relford of Brewer, Maine; three grandchildren; one step-son, John Vanausdall of Indianapolis; two sisters, Bertha Seely of Greenfield, Jeannie Richardson of Indianapolis; brother, Earl Whisler of Shirley; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vanausdall in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herschel Whisler, and two sisters, Velma Gordon and Gertrude Goudy.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Jon Day officiating. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Friday, February 9 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilkinson Church of Christ.
