Lucille J. Newhouse

June 21, 1908 – Jan. 14, 2001

Lucille J. Newhouse, 92, of Bloomington, a former resident of Knightstown and Rush County, died Sunday, January 14 at Blooming Hospital in Bloomington.

She was born June 21, 1908 in Rush County, a daughter of the late Floyd and Bessie (Dalrymple) Reddick. She was a 1926 graduate of Carthage High School and was a cook at the Mays School prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Hannagan Christian Church and the Amicitia Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn J. Wilson of Bloomington, Wanda Liggett of Rushville; one brother, Roy Reddick of Carthage; two sisters, Ruth Stevens of Charlottesville, Gladys Geise of Rushville; four grandchildren, Michael Wilson of Kansas, Marcus Wilson of Bloomington, Melvin Wilson of Bloomington, Myron Wilson of Mooresville; three step-grandchildren, Phil, Gary, and Mark Liggett of Rushville; 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, January 19 at 10 a.m. at Todd Funeral Home, Butcher Chapel, Knightstown with Reverend Warren Engel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Todd Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
