Allean E. Sammons

Nov. 15, 1905 – Jan. 2, 2001

Allean E. Sammons, 95, of Knightstown died Tuesday, January 2 at Hickory Creek Convalescent Center in New Castle.

She was born Nov. 15, 1905 in Jennings County, a daughter of the late Aaron and Carrie (Weiss) Cardinal. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ogden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruby M. Derrick of Knightstown; one granddaughter, Janice (husband, Tom) Barton of Knightstown; one grandson, Jerry (wife, Linda) Jordon of Shirley; one sister, Elsie Clapp of Seymour; seven great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sammons, on March 7, 1969, and two brothers, Bud and Wilbur Cardinal.

Services were Friday, January 5-7 p.m. at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Visitation was Friday, January 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Condo & Son Funeral Home. Graveside services were Saturday, January 6 at 11 a.m. at Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Ind.
