Earl Howard

Earl Howard 79, of Dunreith died Friday, December 29 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born April 28, 1921 in Haddix, KY, a son of the late Willie V. and Margaret (Haddix) Howard.
He was a retired machine worker having been employed by Chrysler Corporation in New Castle. He served during World War 2 in the U.S. Army under General George S. Patton.
On October 28, 1979 he married Lovel Stalup, who survives. He was a member of Faith Chapel in Knightstown and the UAW.
Survivors include his wife, Lovel (Stacey) Stalup Howard of Dunreith; three daughters, Alice Bennett of New Castle, Darlene (Husband, Marvin) Mullenex of Indianapolis, Sharon (husband, Glen) Cox of New Castle; one sister, Josephine Hamilton of Carthage; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Services were Wednesday, January 3 at 10 a.m. at Faith Chapel in Knightstown with Randy Gross officiating. Visitation was Tuesday, January 2 from 4-8 p.m. at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown. Burial took place in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
