 Board Chooses Schaetzle

August 20, 2008 - The Charles A. Beard School Board voted Tuesday night to appoint Greensboro Township resident Tom Schaetzle to fill a seat left vacant after board member Ron Womack’s resignation last month.

By a vote of five to one, the board selected Schaetzle during last night’s regular monthly meeting to replace Womack, who resigned his Greensboro Township seat on the board effective July 31. Schaetzle was one of four candidates interviewed by the board during a special public meeting August 12.

Immediately following the board’s vote appointing him, he was sworn in and shown to his seat at the board table. He will complete the four-year term Womack had been elected to serve in 2006, which runs through June 30, 2010.
