 Trane Tracking Growth in Rushville

April 23, 2008 - Trane Inc. announced last week that it will undertake a $7.4 million expansion of its Rushville facility, a move expected to result in up to 25 new jobs.

According to a press release issued by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the New Jersey-based Trane will upgrade its facilities and equipment at 1300 N. Benjamin St. The company is also expected to begin hiring additional production assistants later this year and provide current employees with expanded training opportunities.

The IEDC offered Trane up to $48,000 in training grants based on the company's hiring plans. The company plans to provide employees with basic computer training, supervisory skills training and other industry-specific practices.

Trane, a manufacturer of air temperature control and ventilation systems, has more than 400 facilities around the globe and more than 29,000 employees. The Rushville facility, according to the IDEC, has been in operation since 1971 and employs more than 200.

"We're pleased to continue to invest in the Rushville operation," Greg Harcourt, general manager of the Rushville facility, said in the IEDC press release.
