 Knightstown Planners Meet, Elect Officers

March 26, 2008 - The Knightstown Plan Commission held its first meeting of 2008 last week and elected officers for the year.

Clyde South will continue as the plan commission's president for another year. Barry Carter will take over as vice president, with last year's vice president, Erma Keller, chosen as recording secretary.

South, who also serves as vice president of the Knightstown Town Council, provided a brief overview of the March 17 plan commission meeting at the town council meeting held two nights later. He said the commission plans to pass resolutions in 2008 to move forward with getting Knightstown authority to oversee planning and development in areas within a two mile radius outside the town's boundaries, and to have a feasibility study done for the possible annexation of the Raysville/Knightstown Lake area.

The next meeting of the Knightstown Plan Commission is scheduled for Monday, April 7. It will be held in the council chambers at Knightstown Town Hall and start at 7 p.m.
