CAB School Corp Opts for Hancock Telecom

February 28 2007 - Hancock Communications Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Telecom, recently added an exciting new customer in Knightstown.  At the December 19 meeting of Charles A. Beard school board, officials voted to switch service to the local Knightstown company.

The deal includes; local phone service, long distance and a complete managed fiber network. This service expands to Kennard and Carthage. By June 30, 2007, Hancock will install a communications pole to provide similar services in Carthage via broadband and the use of the latest technology.

After the meeting, Hancock Communications President Rex Pasko said, “We are extremely excited to have Knightstown Schools not only as a customer but as a community partner. We look forward to exceeding their expectations and we appreciate the trust they have placed in our company.”  The deal is set to commence in early 2007.

In other Hancock Communications news, Hancock Telecom’s marketing team consisting of David Spencer and Robin Manuel recently won an award for their marketing efforts.  The two, along with executives from Hancock Telecom recently traveled to Orlando, Fla., to accept the national award for public relations achievement.  The award, presented by the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA), is the highest honor presented to marketing officials.  Hancock Telecom received the award for their groundbreaking public relations program 911 For Kids.
